To get access to the Free City Wide Wifi, customer premise equipment is required to gain access from you PC, wireless laptop or MAC. Depending on your distance from an access point, high foliage around your home, terrain and man made feature in you neighborhood, coverage will vary. Both internal and external antennas are available to ensure access to the 2.4 MHz network. All free WiFi services are on the 2.4 MHz Band. Currently the Ubiquity Nanostation Loco and Nanostation II are the SmartRiverside preferred equipment for long-distance access.
